Tara Redepenning and Darin Goulet have been a personal and professional team for over 12 years. (And officially married since ’02). They met in ‘94 while acting in (what else?) a pair of original musicals with Youth Performance Company in Minneapolis.

As a writing & directing team they have written and produced musicals for the Santa Monica/Malibu Unified School District, the Morgan-Wixson Theatre, and ANMT/UC Irvine. At the Morgan-Wixson they collaborated with Newbery Award winning children’s author Sid Fleischman on the premiere production of his adaptation of his own book “By the Great Horn Spoon.”

Tara’s Y.E.S. Program at the Morgan-Wixson Theatre brought a new era of children’s theater to Santa Monica, bringing in sold-out audiences and garnering the program the 2008 award for “Outstanding New Children’s Theatre Company” from the American Alliance for Theatre and Education.

Tara & Darin’s most recent project is AGING OUT (with co-writer Hillary Rollins), which is in development. T&D worked previously with Rollins on a15-minute musical, In the Nick of Time, for the Academy for New Musical Theatre (ANMT).

They are currently working on a number of new projects together, including a new rock/cabaret show to be premiered in LA in 2010 and songs for some of their favorite performers.
